Transit to “Enigma Seamount”

Following a successful dive today at “Sirena Canyon” NOAA Ship Okeanos Explorer is underway and transiting across the Mariana Trench to “Enigma Seamount”, located on the southern edge of the trench ~110 nautical miles south of Guam. We plan to dive here tomorrow starting around ~3,800m to explore a seamount that may lie on a boundary between the Pacific Plate and a younger tectonic plate. Join us to see what we discover!
