Overnight Transit Mapping

ROV Deep Discoverer is secure on deck following today’s dive at Zealandia, where we investigated deep-sea coral and bottomfish communities. A highlight of today’s dive included the discovery of an area of a “field” with hundreds of basket stars and feather stars! Tonight we’ll conduct overnight mapping operations while transiting to the next dive site. Tomorrow’s dive will be conducted on the Kunanaf Hulo’ Seamount to investigate whether it may be a mud volcano. Tune in and explore with us!
