Seamount Mapping in the Pacific Remote Islands Marine National Monument

The NOAA Ship Okeanos Explorer is conducting 24 hour mapping operations over several unexplored seamounts near Wake Island in the Pacific Remote Islands Marine National Monument. Cumulative mapping data progress (updated daily) can be viewed  on the Okeanos Atlas at http://service.ncddc.noaa.gov/website/EXAtlas/viewer.htm.

Hint: To see the full picture of what we have mapped in this region, also turn on bathymetry from these previous cruises: EX1003, EX1005, EX1604, EX1605L2!
