Discovery!

1342 EDT: NOAA Ship Okeanos Explorer has just discovered apparent hydrocarbon seepage with confirmed methane hydrates and chemosynthetic communities. Bubbles in the water column were originally detected here by Okeanos Explorer’s multibeam sonar.
